Baltic Way 2020 was held virtually on November 14.
Baltic Way is a team competition in mathematics, organized annually since 1990. Teams from all countries around the Baltic Sea and Norway and Iceland are invited. The name of the contest comes from the demonstration for the independence of the Baltic States organized on August 23, 1989.
Each participating country sends a team of five high school students. In the contest, each team works together to solve a set of 20 hard math problems in four and a half hours. To achieve this goal, the team has to rely also on cooperation and mutual help.
This year due to COVID-19 pandemic Baltic Way takes place virtually.
